'Becoming a Workplace Health and Safety Rep'
You’re invited to join in a 45minute-1hr lunch and learn to explore the vital role of Health and Safety Reps (HSRs), and importantly, how to elect HSRs in your workplace and have the ideal number of safety reps. The session covers training, powers, functions and rights for Safety Reps. RSVP for this session, below!
Perhaps your workplace has various locations, shifts, and diversity of jobs that workers do? Workers may have their own unique safety issues in their areas; as well as common safety issues with other workers.
Now has never been a better time to become a Health and Safety Rep – why not give it a go?
WA Workers now much more of a say in safety matters under our new safety laws – ranging from the number and location of safety reps, all the way through to consultation around safety matters. Unions also have increased options to assist health and safety reps and workers.
Safety Reps are the voice of the workers they represent, and can communicate and act on behalf of workers to resolve workplace safety concerns – both physical + psychosocial/mental health hazards.
This lunch and learn is open to all workers, especially those interested in stepping up into the vital role of Safety Rep, or those interested in promoting better safety in their workplace. RSVP below!
Please note, Q&A is available for 15 minutes after the session.
