The Anna Stewart Project is a fitting memorial to a former active Victorian union official who died tragically in 1983, aged 35. Her involvement with the union movement began at a time when women workers were poorly paid, lacked job security and skills recognition. Disappointingly in 2016 women are still fearful of job insecurity, are paid poor wages and are still under-represented in decision making structures.
As this will be the 30th year WA has been involved in this project, there will be a special celebration to commemorate the anniversary.
Please join other Anna Stewart Project alumnae as we share stories over refreshments and entertainment.
If you know of other "Anna"s - please pass on this invitation to them.
Many thanks to sponsors Slater+Gordon for their continued support of the ASMP.
