News News Marginal seat polling reveals privatisation backlash

It is clear that the fight being put up by the Health Services Union and the LHMU in regards to resisting the privatisation of public services is winning over the public.

A WA Opinion Polls poll of 400 voters in the marginal State Government seats of Riverton, Swan Hills, Mount Lawley and Wanneroo has revealed more than 75 per cent of voters oppose Serco running privatised services at Fiona Stanley Prison, with only one in ten supporting it.

The Unions are working hard to stop the privatisation of services within our schools, hospitals and prisons. The message is getting to the people, let's hope it gets to the Premier.
