News News Sharryn Jackson Walks A Day as a Childcare Worker
The decisions politicians make can have a huge influence on our working lives.

That is why, at this election, the LHMU has asked a number of Federal candidates around the country to spend a day as a childcare worker.

In WA, Sharryn Jackson, Member for Hasluck, spent her day working with members at Coolabaroo Childcare care centre in Thornlie.

See the video of Sharryn's day and get her insights into the role childcare workers play.

As part of the Walk A Day program, Sharryn has agreed to be a ‘Childcare Champion’ for WA. As such, she will continue to support the Big Steps campaign to improve wages and seek professional recognition for childcare workers.

But in order for Sharryn to do this she's going to need all the support she can get. This election is going to be razor sharp so she is going to need every volunteer possible for election-day.

She needs your support and the support of all your friends and family to stop Tony Abbott and the Liberals sending Australia backwards. If you're not already working on a booth or have some spare time before or after working on a booth, help Sharryn retain Hasluck and ensure a Gillard Labor Government.
