UnionsWA has called on the federal Coalition to clarify its position on Australia’s work laws, after conflicting
messages from Liberal MPs about their agenda on work laws.
The call from UnionsWA comes as the Senate hearing into Labor’s proposed Fair Work Bill meets in Perth on
Thursday (29 Jan), while Coalition Senator Mitch Fifield called on the Coalition to abandon its commitment to
respect Labor's mandate on IR.
This contrasts with Shadow Workplace Relations Minister Michael Keenan’s pledge in December last year that
the Opposition would not "unnecessarily frustrate" Labor's Fair Work Bill.
