ABCC rally goes ahead
Monday, 08 December 2008 13:14

WA unions have decided to proceed with the rally against the Australian Building Construction Commission (ABCC), despite the dropping of charges against CFMEU official Noel Washington.

“It is fantastic that Noel Washington has been found to have no case to answer, but the powers of the ABCC are still in place and the majority of construction unions want to continue their protest against these manifestly unjust laws,” Secretary of UnionsWA Dave Robinson said today.

“There is no doubt that the dropping of charges against Noel Washington demonstrates the ABCC is in disarray and will do anything to prosecute a worker going about their ordinary business,” Dave Robinson said.
