Good food, good fun and a complimentary drink on arrival - all in the aid of solidarity with working people in developing countries.

Our guest speaker this year is human rights activists from Myanmar, Wai Wai Nu.

Wai Wai Nu is a democracy, human rights, and women’s rights advocate from Myanmar. Deeply moved by the escalating violence in her country, Wai Wai Nu established the Women Peace Network in 2012 as a platform to build peace and mutual understanding between Myanmar’s different ethnicities and to advocate for the rights of marginalised women. Part of this work includes campaigning to reduce discrimination and hatred among Buddhist and Muslim communities and to improving the human rights situation of her people, the Rohingya.

There will also be an auction to raise money for UnionAid Abroad/APHEDA international projects - so don't leave your wallets at home!

Please join us on Saturday 14th October at the Zoo! There will be free parking at the Richardson St Car park opposite the Zoo. Ferries run from South Perth to Elizabeth Quay until 11.45 pm.

A payment needs to be made in order to receive a ticket and receipt. You can purchase online, or download a booking form here.

Tickets are $90 per person (includes GST). Table of 10 will be $900. Please note that while no concession ticket rate applies, some unions have indicated that they may be able to assist some current or past members. Contact your union to find out how!
